Save The Barrels

Have you ever wondered where Bourbon comes from?  Or how it gets its beautiful amber color?  Or what gives it that unique flavor, with notes of oak, vanilla, and caramel? Believe it or not, there are no flavorings or coloring added to this wonderful nectar.  Bourbon is simply a mix of water, yeast, grain, and, you guessed it, the Bourbon Barrel.  It's hard to believe that this simple concoction of few ingredients can yield the country's  favorite distilled spirit.  And while we get to enjoy the smooth essence of this fascinating libation, the vessel that has nurtured it to its current glory often gets left behind.

Too many times in today's world,  when something has completed it's intended purpose, we toss it out and get a new one.  It's so easy to just throw it away and never look back.  This is a stark contrast to the generations of the past.  Back in the day, you wanted and sometimes needed to squeeze every bit of use out of something before having to discard it.  Especially if the item was truly appreciated and revered.

Well at CC Barrel Co, we are doing what we can to change that.  We offer new life and purpose to that old barrel that held our favorite elixir for so many years.  We take authentic bourbon barrels right out of the warehouse after  they are emptied and transform them into new things that can be admired and cherished for many more years to come.  We don't have big machines or fancy equipment.  All of our creations are hand made with the love and care that they truly deserve.
